Has the U.S. economy hit bottom?

A U.S. government report showed last week that the economy is no longer falling off a cliff, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we can slam the door on the recession. The economy continued to contract, albeit at a much slower pace, in the second quarter. But since GDP is a trailing indicator, some say more evidence is needed before a bottom can really be called.
